When the window closes, the van goes out. Seven nights a week it brings supplies, naloxone, warm drinks and a friendly face to wherever you are in Whitehorse — call or text and they'll come.
What the van carries
- Safer-use supplies — everything the window stocks
- Naloxone kits
- Warm drinks, snacks and socks
- Sharps containers and needle pickup
- A ride to somewhere safer, when we can
Run in partnership
The van is staffed in partnership with Kwanlin Dün Health Centre andFASSY, so the person who shows up may be a nurse, a support worker, or both.
Blood Ties became the operating partner of the van in 2018 — it has been on the road since 2001.
