Site terms
The small print, in plain language. Two parts genuinely matter — the first two.
Health information is not medical advice
The health content on this site — about safer use, naloxone, drug checking and everything else — is education, not medical advice, and reading it is no substitute for talking to a health professional or getting trained. If someone may be overdosing, call 911 first. Then use naloxone if you have it — free kits and free training are at the Cook Street window and on the van, and we'd rather show you in person than have you learn in an emergency.
The housing guides are not legal advice
Our housing guides describe Yukon tenancy rules in general terms, as we understood them when we last updated the pages. Laws change, and your situation is specific. Before acting on something important — an eviction notice, a deposit dispute — check with the Residential Tenancies Office (867-667-5944) or get legal help. Blood Ties can help you find it.
Our words and drawings
The writing and illustrations on this site belong to Blood Ties Four Directions Centre. Share links to anything, any time. If you'd like to reprint or reuse content — pamphlets, guides, illustrations — just ask: 867-633-2437. We usually say yes.
Links to other places
We link out to news coverage, partner organizations and government services. A link isn't an endorsement, and we're not responsible for what other sites say or collect.
Donations
Donations are processed by CanadaHelps under their terms; tax receipts come from them automatically.
Forms
The forms on this site are for real requests. We read everything, and we may set aside submissions that are abusive or clearly not genuine.
The frame around all of it
This site is offered as-is, in good faith, from Whitehorse. These terms and any dispute about the site are governed by the laws of Yukon and Canada. When we change this page, we'll change the date below.
